626 Occupational Therapy provides counselling services for mental health, behavioural and emotional conditions for people of all ages. We offer face-to-face services in our clinic or through our convenient mobile service where our clinician comes to you. We also offer services nationally via our Telehealth service.

We all get 'stuck' occasionally. We can all feel and experience tension and stress at various times. Personal and relationship counselling is very beneficial and helpful for us when we feel stuck, troubled, tense, frightened, stressed or unsure of ourselves.

Seeing a university qualified Counsellor can help you get your mind back on track.
NDIS Counsellor
At 626 we provide therapeutic support to enhance all aspects of our clients lives bu helping them overcome mental barriers and to achieve their goals. The NDIS counsellor can also connect with their clients carers and support coordinators to assist with their mental health challenges. Some of the common challenges for NDIS participants include issues with shared living, life transitions, community participation and social and economic participation. We provide counselling sessions and therapeutic supports based on the participants individual needs.

Together we work to identify and build on your existing strengths and unique capabilities and develop new ways of relating to your experiences assisting you to create the changes that you choose within your life.
Throughout our time together, your privacy and confidentiality is assured. If you like, I can also work collaboratively with your loved ones, carers and other support services in ways that you approve.
I will not impose any particular way of working (or therapeutic modality) upon you, our time together is genuinely collaborative. Together we decide how to work with each other. You decide upon your goals and what you would like to achieve and experience throughout our partnership.

Individual Counselling
The counsellor provides individual support for the NDIS participant to address their mental health challenges. The focus of the sessions is empowering the person through knowlegde of self and emotional development to reach their goals and gain insight into how to best navigate their challenges.
Group Counselling
In a setting of a small group (up to three participants), the therapist facilitates peer discussion sessions. This gives particiapnts the opportunity to learn from each other, build friendships and connet over shared experiences. Goals can be identified and set together as a group. Group counselling can also improve participants teamwork and communication skills, which will improve other community participation such as increased social activities and employment.
Community Engagement
Community engagement assistance can improve social relations and community participation of clients. The group sessions are run with several NDIS participants. The assistance provided can help participants to engage effectively in the community through a group approach to help clients achieve identified social or community goals.
